Casio Have Turned Their Most Iconic Digital Watch Into A Daily Wear Ring
Casio have done it again! Since the viral success of the CRW-001 ring watch in 2024, they have now officially released their latest ring watch the CRW-002 series. This time it’s an ode to the most loved A168.
Silver • Brushed Finish • Stainless Steel
$135 / 19,800 JPY
Gold • Ion Plating Finish • Statement
$155 / 22,000 JPY
The new models are the CRW-002D-1A (Silver) and CRW-002G-9A (Gold). They replicate the A168 perfectly with a small LCD screen and LED notifications.
You won’t find any smart features such as heart rate monitors. It’s a completely real digital watch.
What Is The Casio CRW-002?
The Casio CRW-002 is a completely redesigned version of the A168; one of the best selling digital retro watches in the world, which was originally released back in 1995.
They’ve used high density mounting technology to make the watch module around 1/10th of a regular watch, making the watch only 25.2 x 18.2 x 6.2mm. It also weighs a total of just 15 grams.

Metal Injection Molding
The case and band have been made using stainless steel. They’ve used a process called Metal Injection Molding (MIM), a process which blends finely milled metal powders with resins, to recreate the A168’s intricate design. The silver model has a brushed finish whilst the gold model has an Ion Plating finish.
Small But Functional
Despite being a small ring watch, it does come packed with some great features;
It is water resistant so you can wear it daily.
The Best Part – Time Flash Notification
Casio have added a cool feature to the CRW-002. It features a Time Flash.
There is a small white LED at the top of the watch which will flash and glow;
It doesn’t have a functional purpose but it does make people enquire “What’s that on your finger?”. It looks amazing in low light conditions.

Why This Matters
Whilst everyone is getting excited over $300 smart rings that need charging each night, Casio are making waves by providing us with some nostalgia, craftsmanship and fun.
This is not a ring watch to track your sleep. It’s for watch lovers, retro lovers and those who just want to own something unique. This follows the CRW-001 and proves that collectible digital watches are a legitimate category.
If you’re an established G-SHOCK collector or just looking for the best unique accessory under $200 – this is easily one of the most talked about watch releases of 2026.
Verdict
If you can get your hands on this then yes! It’s a perfect blend of Casio’s retro style and their insane miniaturisation technology.
The silver is a classic, everyday option whereas the gold is more of a statement piece. They’ll both be selling quickly.
